You Already Have the Answer

Version 2

When you find yourself asking, what should I do? Which direction should I take? Often you already know the answer in the asking. The challenging part can be mustering the courage to do what it takes to go after what you want.

So ask your question, but then be still enough to listen to the answer. It may come in the words of the next song you listen to, an out of the blue text from a friend, an article you just happened to read, or simply an idea that pops into your head. Check in with your body and see what it’s telling you. You’ll know the answer. It’s the getting through the “shoulds” and the external expectations that may trip you up… maybe you just need to give yourself permission to go for it.

I like to ask myself, what’s the worst that can happen if I do this? Sometimes the worst is scary, people may be upset, you may risk losing something. But what’s the cost of not doing what feels right for you?
